When eclipse season commences, you can expect it to be a series of unpredictable events, presented with the themes of illumination, renewal, and transformation. These aren’t subtle shifts either, it’s a smoke signal from the cosmos that it’s collectively time to awaken a new energetic timeline. In the event of a solar eclipse, the moon cozies up between the Sun and Earth, temporarily casting a shadow over Earth. This can only happen at the time of a New Moon and on On April 30, 2022 at 4:28 ET the Moon newly transits into stabilizing Taurus. With the eclipse also aligning with our north and south nodes (axis’) representing our destiny, divine assignments in this life and past lives, these shifts are integral in how we will be moving forward in this next cycle with the New Moon in Taurus transiting at 10°, new cycles blossom as old ones close out.
Out with the Old, In With the New
10 is an energy of culmination, completion, death, and rebirth. In astrology, 10° correlates to matters of the mind and intellect. With change in the air, collectively we are shifting our perspectives in how we see ourselves and interact with the world around us. Eclipses can shine a light on those overworked or underdeveloped spaces in our consciousness that need some fine tuning. Often, these are beliefs or narratives that have been running through our consciousness for an extended period of time, and as the cycle closes out, the New Moon invite’s us to alchemize the inner dialogue that feels limiting to our expansive and curious nature. Because 10° is ruled by Saturn, the father of the planets, the delivery of these “aha” moments or inner awakenings can apply a little pressure on us to make change, but pressure creates diamonds, okay? The Universe really wants to put the nail in the coffin of all those patterns, beliefs, habits, toxic stories and memories we cling to to rest, for good. It requires us to reclaim our sovereignty through accountability and reinstate ones internal strength by testing our will and desire to evolve.
The Revelation: Acknowledging Change is Necessary
During this time, the astrological energy is dominated by water, which naturally has us in our feels. We’re supported to investigate where we may have dropped the ball, but try not to allow this Piscean energy to filter out the magic in the “mistakes” because we’re indulging in a self pity cocktail. If we’re constantly seeing ourselves as victims, we don’t allow our guides to support us reversing that narrative, one that calls back our power and discipline. Instead, we’d rest in a space of things happening to us, rather than for us. The divine is forgiving, as you should be. Acknowledge where you could’ve done better, respect that situations that forced you to grow and welcome a new cycle with new tools in your kit. These revelations are rooted in how we show up as our own inner critic — the stories that we tell ourselves in relation to money, stability, the things we value and feel deserving ( or not deserving) of.

Because this energy is showing up at the time of the rare Jupiter-Venus conjunction, this feels like a positive omen from Spirit that many blessings are en route! The New Moon rests in Taurus, pivoting our attention to material and earthly matters. Money is definitely on our minds and Taurus energy pushes us to stabilize our habits and routines around our home environment, commune in natural environments, and bring our attention to comfort around and within us. The Wheel reminds us that “Fortune favors the bold”!

There is a deep sense of belonging that we all yearn for, resonance and connection. Venus in Cancer wants us to nurture our family roots and build a closer relationship with our family, including our ancestors. This is a powerful time to begin planning for a family reunion or cementing consistent family events like Sunday dinners, family BBQ’s or playdates with children. Home is a frequency, a vibe!

Even if you don’t have a close connection with your family or ancestors, the energy alone lets your ancestors know that they are acknowledged and welcome.
In the midst of the subconscious reprogramming, you may even be reconsidering what family and home will look like to you in the future. I see many of those who never considered having a family of their own having a change of heart. You may be tracking your fears and getting to the root of your feelings, discovering that your fear was actually just a copy mechanism that is no longer needed.
If you feel like you never truly had a home or strong family foundation, it can manifest as a deep desire to provide that to your own family or the complete opposite, you doubt your capacity to show up in this new way because no one showed up for you. Your guides want you to know that you are more than capable and some of us are called here to be the blueprint, instead of following it. Your ability to connect with what you lacked can also be your gift to provide everything you felt what was missing. Deep healing occurs when we acknowledging our childhood trauma. It doesn’t have to be your story to follow in the footsteps of parents and caretakers who have misled you or abandoned you. Despite it all, you’ve found your way and you supported by the Universe to rebuild a foundation that makes you feel safe and seen. Most people associate money with masculinity, but it’s actually feminine in nature. As a currency, money is a tool that must be in constant flow. If you’re are hoarding all of your money, your depriving yourself of experiences and possessions that can make your life more pleasurable. If you’re spending all of your money on yourself, you’re limiting your experience by not sharing it with loved ones. Even out the playing field by keeping your energy reciprocal in nature — give back often, don’t be afraid to invest in yourself. Recite affirmations that remind you that you attract abundance with ease so you are not blocking your abundance by holding on to it!
